So, the new thing we learned today is how to make tables:

And how to put a sound/music that can be controlled by the viewer!



I like this one (the media player one), because then you don't have to listen to whatever annoying music that a webpage has on it! It's a win-win!  And thats it for today!

Did you know that Hurricane has a zoo?

NO? Well, go visit it then! It's right between the imaginary mall and figurative hospital. Apparently they have many exotic animals like red pandas, giraffes, butterflies, toucans, and seals! WOW! And you question how I know all these things? Because I'm making a web page for this "Hurricane City Zoo." So it MUST be real! {because everyone knows that everything on the Internet is real. obviously.}

Those are more exotic animals that are at the zoo. Pretty exciting, I know.

I'm the photoshop master!

Okay, maybe not the master, because there are a bajillion things to do on photoshop... but today in BWPD, we learned how to do a few things on Adobe Photoshop CS5!

haha just kidding! You thought you would be reading something interesting! HA! ....so I was supposed to a post last time in class... But I forgot... so thats what this is for. We are still building web pages. And thats okay. And thats basically it!

Did you know...

that Andrew Jackson, the 7th president, was the first president to be born in a log cabin? 

Or that Franklin Delano Roosevelt (FDR) served four terms in office: 1932, 1936, 1940 and 1944? {Which led to an amendment which only lets presidents be elected for two terms? Or something like that...}

Well, neither did I! But now my brain has been enriched with random presidential facts because today in BWPD, we did a web quest about the presidents! I don't know when I will need to now that in 1891, Benjamin Harrison had electric lights installed in the White House... but that's okay. Maybe I'll end up on a game show and that will be the MILLION DOLLAR ANSWER! Yeah! {I can only hope}


P.S. James Buchanan never got married and Theodore Roosevelt was the first president to ride in a passenger car. {Just thought I would let you know :)}

There has been a rumor spreading around....

That its friday! woohoo! And the last time we were here in BWPD we made our very first {very, very simple} webpage! If you think only computer experts can make webpages then you are WRONG! Anybody can make a webpage, you only need to know a little bit.

Blogging away

So here in BWPD we have been learning a lot of things lately. Netiquet (etiquette for emails), how to forward, reply, add someone to your contact list, what makes a professional email and... maybe a couple other things are escaping my brain at the moment.  It's pretty interesting, and I think in our world that focuses around technology it will be one of the most important skills we could be learning. so... that pretty nifty I guess!

My mind has been plagued with visions of ugly websites...

For the past 2 class periods, our class has been looking up and evaluating various high school websites in the state of Utah. We learned that the concept of "frames" is not a good idea. We also learned that besides being functional a website needs to be pretty too :)

Our website wasn't too shabby!  Unlike... *cough-cough* south sevier... or juan diego... *cough-cough*

Creating a Voki!

A post from the writing impaired

It's the end of the first week of school and I'm here in Business Webpage Design, writing my first blog post ever! And besides the fact that it's Friday... Not much else is going on.
 (Except you can't see the flowers at the bottom of the blog... which is a problem. One of these days, I'll learn how to fix that)
